CENTCOM (SOCOM) -- The select few assigned services with
the Special Operations Combat Aviation Group are legends among
special operations communities the world over; hand selected in a
grueling process that is famous for their 3% recruit success rating
overall. Tier-one operators within SOCAG are the Pararescue elite.
Created January 01, 1994 in response to growing requirements for
Direct-Action capable personnel with top medical and rescue team
experience; SOCAG recruited from all Special Tactics Squadrons of
the United States Air Force to found the elite tier-one rescue unit.
SOCAG remains the number one group of Airborne, Pararescue and
Direct-Action capable operators in the world, maintaining a crucial
role in all aspects. Their intense training program ensures qualified
personnel in every area of expertise. Their primary function within Task Force 9© is providing tier-one, medical and rescue specialists.
